Good Thursday evening! Showers continue tonight as we stay mostly cloudy and seasonable, with lows falling into the mid-40s. Friday brings a much more noticeable change. A few showers may linger early, then skies gradually clear through the afternoon. Even with the clearing, it will stay chilly and windy, with highs only near 50 degrees. Those strong winds will make it feel even colder, especially if you’re heading out for Friday night football, evening events, or spending time outside. The other thing to watch comes Friday night. Temperatures fall into the mid-30s, which means frost or even a light freeze could become a concern in some areas. If you still have sensitive plants outside, this may be the night to bring them in or cover them up. The weekend looks much better. Saturday turns mostly sunny with highs near 60, while Sunday becomes milder with highs in the mid-60s. That warming trend continues next week, with highs generally in the upper 60s and even near 70
